About me
I am a Lecture-Researcher in Statistics at the Institute of Applied Mathematics at the Catholic University of the West, Angers. My office is located in the Science building (44 Rue Rabelais, 49000 Angers). Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Rouen and then a Temporary Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Southern Brittany. I did my PhD in Mathematics at the Mathematics Laboratory of the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis, under the supervision of Professors Aliou Diop from Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis and Jean-François Dupuy from INSA Rennes. On July 21, 2021, I defended my PhD thesis titled Marginal Regression Models for Zero-Inflated Count Data.
Research interests
My research primarily focuses on the interface between theory and application in the modeling of zero-inflated count data, missing data mechanisms, and statistical learning. I am particularly interested in the methodological and computational challenges posed by count data, especially in the presence of zero inflation, multicollinearity, and missingness.
More specifically, my work involves developing and studying the theoretical properties of estimation techniques tailored to zero-inflated count models affected by nonresponse, drawing on tools from statistical learning and regularization. I also explore high-dimensional settings where the number of covariates is large, further complicating inference and variable selection. My ultimate goal is to contribute robust and interpretable solutions that are applicable to real-world problems, particularly in health economics, environmental science, and social data.
